Labiaplasty

Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure that alters the size or shape of the labia, the folds of skin surrounding the vaginal opening.

While the term typically refers to the reduction or reshaping of the labia minora (inner lips), some women also seek modifications to the labia majora (outer lips), clitoral hood, or mons pubis (the area of skin and fat covering the pubic bone).  

The appearance of the labia minora varies significantly among women. In some cases, the labia minora extend beyond the labia majora, which may cause discomfort when wearing tight clothing or engaging in physical activities, including sexual intercourse.
